The Ida Green Communication Center was built in 1972. The 38,372 square foot structure houses a main theatre (accommodating 500 people), the Paul Beardsley Theater, a studio theater, art gallery, television studios, and large and small conference rooms. Although it appears from the exterior to be only two stories, inside the center are three full floors of facilities due to its deep basement.
In addition to its theater facilities, the Ida Green Communication Center also contains classrooms. The second floor is composed of small meeting rooms. A well-known campus landmark in the building is the Cecil Green Conference Suite on the first floor of the center. This multi-purpose room hosts a wide variety of campus activities including classes, visiting speakers and lecturers, and television presentations in addition to its being the formal meeting place for the college's Board of Trustees.
