John Bunker Sands Wetland Center

With its unique and natural solution for supplying clean water to the growing population of North Texas, the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center provides over 1,800 acres of wetland cleaning water by nature, not machinery. The Wetland Center provides opportunities for research, educationn and wildlife observation, giving visitors opportunities to relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. The 5,4000 square foot facility includes an exhibit and gallery hall; a research lab for use by research groups to study the wetland plants and animals; a classroom for hands-on k-12 educational programs; and an observation deck to view the wetland. A granite pathway leads visitors to a boardwalk extending into the living wetland.
