Bear Creek Art Gala

KELLER, TX Young Artists of Texas (YAT) is hosting the 3rd Annual Bear Creek Art Gala on April 17th from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the First American Banquet Center at Solana in Westlake. Guests will dance to a disco beat with live music provided by “LeFreak” and will feast on delicious food and drink while surrounded by artists and their work. Dust off those bell bottoms and dress “cocktail disco” for a Gala night to remember!

The Bear Creek Art Gala is an annual celebration benefiting Young Artists of Texas. This organization is a 501c.3 non-profit business dedicated to educating and promoting young artists, aged 18-25. By seeking and creating opportunities for them to show and market their work Young Artists of Texas helps them lay the foundation for a career in art. During 2010 YAT artists will exhibit work at 4 Gallery Nights to be held at the YAT Gallery, as well as at 12 off-site art shows. Quarterly speaker nights at the YAT Gallery will educate these young artists about topics relating to creating successful careers in art. YAT will be awarding scholarships to college-bound art students in May and hosting summer art camps for several local non-profits in June, such as H.O.P.E. Farm.

The Bear Creek Art Gala festivities will include a live auction with fantastic offerings such as a Ten day African Hunting Safari for two, a trip to New York City including dinner at Sardi’s and the purchaser’s own caricature created by Sardi’s artist Richard Baratz, a Caribbean cruise, a day on set and role as an extra in the upcoming movie “One Heart,” and dinner for eight in the lucky bidder’s home prepared by talented Chef Kevin Rodewald from Brio Tuscan Grille.
