Bavarian Grill

When the Bavarian Grill in opened in 1993, the owners had an idea to feature only authentic German Biers. In order to allow guests to take a guided tour of all the biers, they printed 50 copies of the restaurant's special bierlist, with a small space behind each bier to sign for the successful introduction of a new or old friend to them. The owners promised each guest who drank all 27 biers a personalized ceramic stein. Many at the restaurant thought that this was a crazy idea: Not only to open a Bavarian restaurant in Texas without any Bud or MillerLite, but to add additional expenses of printing cards for a Stein Club? But the program has been a great success, and today the Stein Club boasts many members. The Bier menu offers a wide variety of dark and light beers, including the 27 original selections, as well as wein and schnapps. The Bavarian Grill features a pleasant and unique dining experience, in an atmosphere that is inviting and perfect for social dining. The menu offers an extensive array of selections, including appetizers and salads, soups, Maultaschen und Spatzle (Pasta), sausages, seafood, chicken, and steak. Notable selections include Rinder Rouladen mit Bratkartoffeln und Rahm Spinat (A generous cut of lean beef with mustard, filled with onions, bacon and a pickle spear, slow roasted and served with Bavarian potatoes and creamy spinach), Wiener Tafelspitz mit Kartoffel Pfannkuchen und Rahm Spinat ("Vienna Style" Prime Rib, broiled with vegetables and baked in a horseradish sauce, served with potato pancakes and spinach), Bayrischer Schweinebraten mit Semmelknodel und Rotkraut (Bavarians' favorite: slices of juicy pork roast on a caraway sauce, with a bread dumpling and red cabbage), and Zwei Wurste mit Krauter Kartoffelsalat und Sauerkraut (a choice of sausages: Bratwurst, Weisswurst, Knackwurst, Smoked Bratwurst, or Nurnberger; served with warm herbed potato salad and sauerkraut).
