If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy sports, NASCAR, or other event and great home style food without cooking, the Last Chance Saloon and Restaurant in Plano, Texas is the place to be.
Located at 1410 K Avenue in Plano, the Last Chance Saloon offers a friendly, casual, relaxed atmosphere with a bit of a western flair. The décor features dark wood interior, pictures of historic figures from the old west, and cowboy boot shaped planters. And what a perfect way to promote a Texas influence than to have old western films streaming in the background.
The food is very well prepared and very appropriate for the type of establishment. Guests can dine on a great selection of burgers, wings, and even real New York hot dogs. (Don’t worry; they serve them up deep fired.) The prices are very reasonable starting at $2.00 for the hot dogs and going up to $8.50 for a burger called the “Heart Attack on a Hard Roll”, a flame broiled half pounder topped with American cheese, a fried egg, and bacon.
Those looking for a challenge can try a variation called the “Double Bypass Burger” that has twice the meat, cheese, eggs and served with a full pound of their loaded cheese fries. Eat it all in 30 minutes or less and get your picture on the wall of fame.
The Last Chance Saloon also offers a great selection of appetizers such as cowboy nachos, chili cheese fries, layered queso dip, and much more. One of the most popular appetizers are the “Beans and a Square”, a heaping bowl of Ranch Beans served with a piece of cornbread for one dollar. (Yes, you read that right $1.00).
Weekends bring a more fun and excitement as the Last Chance features Country Karaoke every Friday and live country bands on Saturdays. You can also catch some live acoustic performances from local singer/songwriters each Wednesdays and Thursday night.
Overall Last Chance Saloon and Restaurant is a laid back place that offers great dining and entertainment. The environment is welcoming, the staff is particularly courteous and friendly, and the food is excellent.
