The second annual Silver Dollar Ball benefitting American Cancer Society will be held May 2, 2009 at the beautiful XO Ranch in Aubrey, Texas. Silver Dollar Ball made its very successful debut last year and organizers say that the 2009 event will be even bigger and better. “As the Ball draws closer, the more excited we become,” said Sherri Vrla, event chair. “Our supporters are dedicated to making the 2009 Silver Dollar Ball a premier fund raising event for American Cancer Society.”
Award-winning recording star Tracy Byrd will perform, making the event a “must do” for country music fans. “It’s like going to a private concert by a headline entertainer and having all the party trimmings,” said Jennifer Henshaw, manager of American Cancer Society’s galas and special events. “Add to that, Eddie Deen’s famous barbeque and music and dancing under the Texas sky, and you have what we think is the best entertainment value of the year.”
“Even more important, is that the ticket proceeds benefit the people served by American Cancer Society,” Vrla said. “The Silver Dollar Ball is a good time for a good cause.”
