"A Taste of Art" hosted by Grapevine Art Dealers Association
Celebrating Grapevine’s artistic offerings and member galleries, the Grapevine Art Dealers Association (GADA) will host the all-new "A Taste of Art" on May 6, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event takes place at galleries and fine art working studios throughout Grapevine. "A Taste of Art" showcases the fine arts in Grapevine by offering a delightful evening of high quality art for all art lovers to collect and enjoy. Take a walk along the vibrant historic Main Street for an evening of fine art, exciting signature foods and wine tasting artistically set among paintings, sculpture and glass-blowing. #28Grams is a one-of-a-kind exhibition that connects the public to some of the most highly representational, figurative, and abstract artists from across the globe who are using modern platforms in striking and innovative ways. Unparalleled in its curatorial design,#28Grams features a diverse range of 28 museum and gallery represented artists from around the world who have broken through the walls of traditional “art” spaces by garnering international online fame through mixing their fine art process with the low-fi medium of Instagram. Aimed at showcasing the individuals behind the up-and-coming digital movement, #28Grams is the brainchild of Fort Works Art founder Lauren Childs who hopes to showcase the method in which “online social networking is breaking down the geographical barriers of artistic genres.” This exhibition opens Tuesday, March 23 and runs through May 20. A reception will take place on Saturday, March 25 from 12 - 9:00pm. The event will be underscored by a surprise special DJ spinning some of today’s hottest music.

2017 Texas MG Register Spring Gathering of the Faithful
The Texas MG Register’s 2017 Spring Gathering of the Faithful will be held for the 42nd time in Salado, TX May 11-14. The theme will be “The Magic Never Ends”. The event starts at the Salado Winery on Thursday, May 11 at 4pm. There will be scenic drives, lunches, dinners and time to visit other MG owners during the weekend. The car show will start at 10 am on Saturday, May 13 and the Awards Banquet will be Saturday night both at the Venue. The host hotel is the Salado Holiday Inn Express. Queerlesque is the space where burlesque and cabaret-style performing arts meet the wild, vibrant, culturally rich Queer community. The AGMC show consists of over 25+ VENDORS, Rockhounds, Geologists, Gemologists, Jewelry Artisans featuring custom designs, designer fine jewelry, stone Identification by a prominent G.I.A. Graduate Gemologist, faceted gemstones, Druzy, cabochons, special shaped stones, tons of rough stones, rocks, slabs, rare minerals, fossils, beads, metaphysical stones, arrowheads, carvings, sculptures, skulls, antlers, bones, petrified wood, glass fusion, enameled jewelry, crystals, himalayan salt lamps, rock/mineral home decor, steampunk designs, butterflies and mine from a MOBILE MINE. In addition, CLUB MEMBERS will be hosting a huge SILENT AUCTION every hour, demonstrating and competing in various geologic & artistic categories, explaining the perks of being in our Rockhound Family, and teaching ONSITE CLASSES.
