Three high school seniors attempt to make a name for themselves by throwing one unforgettable house party. As word spread, the party takes on a life of its own and before the night is over, dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born.

Project X is like a peanut-butter cup.
It tries to take two distinct elements -- in this case the teen-slob comedy and horror-film video vérité -- and smash them together. But instead of coming up with something tasty, Project X is about as tasteless as they come. And that's not always a bad thing in this Hangover for the homeroom crowd.
Produced by Todd Phillips ( Old School and, of course, The Hangover), co-written by actor-turned-writer Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World) and directed by music-video master Nima Nourizadeh, Project X is certainly the sum of its creators' parts -- as well as other films such as Superbad and any of the "Harold & Kumar" movies.
