Tap into your inner Tommy Lee at the new Grotto Live, next to Sauce on the Square in Downtown McKinney. This rock 'n' roll bar is all about live classic and alternative rock, fresh cocktails and fun. The brainchild of restaurateur Rick Wells, he describes Grotto as his mid-life crisis… what do you do when you love the business and have a successful chop house and Italian eatery? You open a place where you can party! Designer drinks include the tequila based World Traveler and bourbon based Kentucky Kiss. Walls are papered in prints from artist William Stidham depicting famous rockers like Jim Morrison, Eddie Vetter and Janis Joplin. Deep black booths and leather crocodile chairs line the perimeter. The intimate stage and mezzanine beckon thoughts of Nashville, but make no mistake- it’s rock you’ll find here.
