Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area is a 2,000 acre wildlife management area a short distance north of Dallas. LLELA contains a variety of habitats, including bottomland forests, prairies, and wetlands. With such a diversity of habitats, there is a profusion of wildlife here, including over 275 species of birds. We are open Friday-Sunday year-round for hiking, fishing, kayaking & canoeing, bird watching, primitive camping, etc. Six miles of hiking trails are available.
