Join the Dallas-Fort Worth Affiliate for PurpleStride DFW at the beautiful Meadowmere Park. This family-friendly event will include a 1-mile fun run, a timed 5K run/walk, stomping of the grapes, raffles, a kid corner, refreshments and entertainment. All proceeds benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Registration:
Individual - Online for $25! Or $30 on the day of the event.
Students - Online for $15!
Children 12 and under - Online for $10! Or $15 on the day of the event.
Virtual Walker - Online for $35! You can "join us" as a virtual walker.

We are offering a packet pickup for the race so that you can pick up your bibs and incentive prizes early to avoid race day lines.

Event schedule:
Volunteer check-in - 6:00 a.m.
Event day registration and participant check-in opens – 8:00 a.m.
Opening ceremony and 1-mile fun run begins – 9:00 a.m.
5K timed run/walk begins – 9:30 a.m.

If you cannot attend the event, you can register as a virtual walker for $35, you can still join a team and qualify for our incentive prizes. Your shirt and prizes will be mailed to you. Register no later than October 31 to guarantee your T-shirt size. After October 31, T-shirts will be available while supplies last. Online registration ends November 12, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. CST.

After registering, your very own fundraising site will be created for you to customize and share your story. You can also send e-mails through your page to friends and family and collect donations for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. We encourage participants to fundraise and you can earn fun prizes for doing so! Use your personal web page to organize an online fundraising campaign with a click of the mouse!

We encourage all participants to use the online tools to increase pancreatic cancer awareness. You can win fun incentive prizes for fundraising and we will recognize top teams and individuals at the event. Incentive levels are at $100, $250, $500 and $1000. We encourage all participants to reach the minimum fundraising level of $100 as we work towards our overall goal of raising $80,000!

This event is run entirely by local volunteers, which means we spend less to put this event on. That in turn means that more of your fundraising dollars are spent on efforts supported by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, like the Patient and Liaison Services (PALS) Program or direct research grants.
