The artseen studio tour 2011 is coming to Frisco, October 15 & 16! The tour is FREE and will be open to the public both Saturday (10am-5pm) and Sunday (1-5pm).
See the creative process and meet some of Frisco’s most talented artists as they open their studios to guests. Many will be in their home studios, with others located at sponsoring downtown merchants. As an added treat, Rex and Betsy Lowe will have their own personal art collection open to the public at their home in Starwood.
You're also invited to bring that mysterious piece of art that you’ve always wondered about from your own personal collection to the Frisco Discovery Center as Heritage Auctions, the world’s largest collectibles auctioneer, will be giving free art evaluations, Saturday 10am-5pm. Also Saturday, a small collection of works by famous Texas pastel artist Frank Reaugh will be on display on Oak Street, one of Frisco's most historic blocks.
This inspiring weekend kicks off on Friday, October 14th with a lovely reception at thegallery8680, featuring their newest show, “Black and White.” That same evening, you’re also invited to another reception hosted by Frisco Arts as they celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Frisco Discovery Center from 7-9pm. The event will feature live performances by arts groups from the area in the Black Box Theatre in the Discovery Center, as well as the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco’s Fall Member show, “Beautiful.” Both of these exhibits will also be open and part of the tour all weekend.
