The Friends of the Frisco Public Library was formed in 1989 with Leslie Howell as president. For a period of time, books were collected and stored in the caboose on the tracks at the edge of town. When Friends had enough books and funding for shelving, Vivian McCallum loaned her building on Main Street to house the Frisco Public Library.
