New York Times best-selling author Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez will appear from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Barnes & Noble, 1612 S. University Drive in Fort Worth. Named one of the 25 most influential Hispanics in America by Time magazine, Valdes-Rodriguez will discuss and sign her new book, The Three Kings: A Christmas Dating Story.
Her first novel, The Dirty Girls Social Club (2003), became a New York Times bestseller. Her other novels include: Playing With Boys in 2004 and Make Him Look Good in 2006; Haters, in 2006; Dirty Girls on Top, a sequel to The Dirty Girls Social Club, in 2008, The Husband Habit in 2009 and The Three Kings in 2010. Her books will be available for purchase at the signing.
Valdes-Rodriguez recently signed with Creative Artists Agency, which is prepping Dirty Girls for a TV series adaptation with NBC, and is also in the process of developing her own talk show, The Alisa Show. Valdes-Rodriguez is also a former staff writer with the Boston Globe and Los Angeles Times.
