Sushi Yoko

I have been looking for a good sushi place in Fort Worth for some time now. Most are run by non-Japanese and generally, the quality is average at best, blah at worst. Having lived in Japan for quite a number of years, “going native”, I am not easily satisfied. What a pleasant surprise awaited me at Sushi Yoko, on Camp Bowie, across from Tom Thumb, in the same block as Baker St. Pub and Grill but facing Bernie Anderson Ave., right at the corner. A real Japanese sushi chef, “Ro”; a wide selection of very fresh fish; expertly made sushi – the real stuff; pleasant surroundings. I go for the traditional kind of sushi, and I must say that it has been a long time since I have tasted such delectable ones. It’s a close as can be to a sushi place in Japan. If you are an old Japanhand, it’s the place to go. Highly recommended.
