Maudee's has been an eclectic lunch spot for over 19 years. It started as "Friends" in Snider Plaza and when Lynn McIlhaney bought it, she moved to its present location and named it for her Grandmother, Maudee. Over the years, menu items have been added, but the same basic down home recipes that were enjoyed by her grandmother are still served daily. Afternoon tea was added by Meredith Strode in 2002 and these great traditions have been expanded under the stewardship of Mack & Sharon Yarbrough who acquired Maudee's in 2005.
