The Juanita Craft Civil Rights House is the historic home of Juanita Craft, one of Dallas’ most influential and recognized civil rights leaders. Ms. Craft's home served as a civil rights "school" to many young African Americans for over 50 years. Ms. Craft was the first African American woman to serve in the Dallas City Council, the first black woman to vote in Dallas, and a national delegate to the 1976 Democratic Convention.
