Owned and operated by Feargal McKinney, Ellen Keenan and Peter Kenny, all natives of Dublin, Ireland, The Idle Rich Pub offers the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere of a traditional Irish pub. The Idle is located in the heart of the Uptown area of Dallas, minutes from downtown and the Arts district on the McKinney Avenue trolley line. The pub is fitted with rich cabinetry, furnishings and tile work imported directed from Ireland.

The Idle Rich Pub specializes in the beers, whiskeys and food of Northern Europe encompassing a wide selection of Belgian, English and German beers, sixty single malt scotch choices, and pub food classics such as fish and chips, ale steamed mussels and a beef and Guinness pie. Also featured in the best in American craft brews and small batch bourbons. Be sure to check the chalkboards located throughout the pub which list interesting and seasonal beers, whiskeys, wines and special food offerings.

The Idle attracts a diverse clientele and is popular with an after-work crowd during happy hour, local meet up for a casual evenings during the week, and a young standing-room-only crowd on late weekend nights.
