Chateau Wine Market and Bodega Bar

The owner of Stone Trail Steakhouse has opened his first retail wine store in Travis Walk, downstairs from Il Sole. Tony Taherzadeh named his store Chateau Wine Market, and his son Amier manages it. Amier says the focus is on "high-end restaurant wines at retail prices." And he does mean high-end: Multiple vintages of Silver Oak, Chateau Montelena and PlumpJack, along with dozens of other posh wines from around the world, grace the shelves of the handsome store. Large round tables scattered around the front of the store offer customers a place to sit and sip one of the 20-odd wines offered by the glass. Want a nibble? A limited menu of cheese and bread is also available. A 3,000-square-foot room in the back is used for wine classes and private parties.
