Milo Butterfinger's offers a relaxed setting for friends to gather, play games andquaff a few refreshing beverages. The long, skinny bar/restaurant is adorned withneon signs, hunting trophies, mini-Christmas lights and other classic college baradornments.
Milo's, however, has matured a step beyond the college scene (buthave your ID ready if you're younger than 35). The clientele ranges from collegestudents to people in their 40s, but Milo's caters primarily to the 20-something crowd.
The male-to-female ratio is about 2:1. Besides four pool tables, Milo's sports several foosball tables, dart boards, and video games. For passive recreation, the establishment has provided numerous televisions always tuned to sporting events.
If patrons get hungry from all the game playing, drinking or watching, they can belly up to the bar and order some of Milo's tasty appetizers or sandwiches. But, don't expect anything fancy, just classic bar fare. Nationally, Milo's received its 15 minutes of fame when director Oliver Stone used it for several bar scenes in the movie, "Born on the Fourth of July." Locally, Milo's is known as a sometime hangout for professional athletes.
