Gloria's Restaurant

Gloria's Restaurant has long been popular for its handmade tamales (wrapped and steamed in banana leaves), fried plantains, never-ending black bean dip and cold margaritas. The Texas chain's new Uptown location adds people watching to the menu.

You'll find a crush of young urban professionals at this sleeker Gloria's on the ground floor of the CityVille at Katy Trail apartment building. Just be prepared to navigate the maze of one way streets to get to it.
