O.E. Penguin's

A new bar trying to eke out its own niche downtown is O.E. Penguin, atop Dr. Bell's BBQ restaurant. Because it's unable to be seen from the street, the second-story space has an air of exclusivity. But inside, O.E. (stands for one-eyed) Penguin is warm, with personable bartenders ready to chat and friends hanging out or playing pool. The bar possesses the same low-key feel of the neighboring City Tavern, which can be a nice change of pace from the surrounding high-energy clubs.
