Chaya Sushi and Grill blends the best of traditional Japanese cuisine with both a sushi bar and a robata grill. Chef-owner Peter Yamamoto previously owned the popular Hibachi-Ya, on Northwest Highway near Bachman Lake which offered traditional Japanese favorites. Pete decided that he wanted to focus on sushi and went back to Japan where he apprenticed.
The results of his hard work are presented at Chaya Sushi and Grill. Chaya is Japanese for "teahouse", where you will be most welcome - and you will feel that way from the moment you enter. The mauve and black interior invites you to sit and relax while the window coverings block the activities of the outside world.
