Daddy Jack came to Texas in 1984 and opened his first restaurant in 1989 called Chaplin's, which was a continental wood grill rated by D Magazine as #6 best in the DFW area. He sold Chaplin's in 1992 and opened a casual seafood concept called Daddy Jack's Lobster & Chowder House in February of 1993. It has been rated as the best seafood restaurant in the area since 1993 with ratings from Zagat, Dallas Morning News, and Dallas Observer. Daddy Jack's goal is to serve the best seafood from coast to coast.
