Arts District Chorale presents At Journey's End

The Arts District Chorale is joined by renowned organist Christopher Anderson and virtuoso flutist Don Bailey. The program includes works by Bruckner and Brahms, and features two rarely-heard compositions: Karg-Elert's fantasy on the hymn Nearer, My God, to Thee, written on the loss of a friend aboard the ill-fated Titanic, which sunk one hundred years ago this year. Franz Liszt's Fourteen Stations of the Cross, a dramatic and highly unusual work for chorus and organ completes the program.
