The Etruscans are mostly known from their tombs, but 17 years of excavation at the site of Poggio Colla have revealed important new evidence about a settlement at the northern edge of Tuscany. This lecture will focus on the remarkable findings of the past few years, where recent excavation of the acropolis sanctuary has produced new understanding of Etruscan religion and ritual. Sponsored by the Dallas-Fort Worth Society of the AIA and the Meadows Museum at SMU . Museum members receive priority seating until 5:40 p.m.
